Unique to Lindridge House, the Away Days Programme offers a safe place, time and space for young people to work together to develop emotionally and socially, to grow in confidence and self-esteem, to discover their self-worth and to learn to respect each other.
Central to the experience is the homely, relaxed atmosphere of the house itself – the group eat together around the large dining room table and carry out many of the indoor activities in the large, but cosy, lounge complete with log fire.
Through an innovative programme of indoor and outdoor activities, facilitated by qualified teachers and outdoor education specialists, young people who have attended the Away Days have left not just with memories of a fun day but with dramatically improved self-esteem and with the tools they need to flourish.
“Stunning – we will definitely be using Lindridge House again” – Eileen Kirby, St Cuthbert Mayne School, Torquay.

Who is it for?
An Away Day is ideal for Years 6, 7 and 8 as they deal with the transition from primary to secondary school but has proved an excellent tool for helping students of any age. There are many reasons why children may be having a difficult time at school and an Away Day can reassure them that they are not alone and help to point them in the right direction.
